Marian Kello has told Hearts he will leave the club under freedom of contract in the summer.
The goalkeeper, who turned down a deadline day move to Austria Vienna, was dropped for his side’s Scottish Cup tie with St Johnstone at the weekend.
Kello was interesting Celtic manager Neil Lennon before the transfer window opened and could yet pen a pre-contract agreement with the current Scottish Premier League leaders.
Reports on Monday also linked the Slovakian with a move to the English Championship and the player says his time at Tynecastle will definitely come to an end at the end of the season.
"The interest from Celtic was real," Kello told the Sun. "They did not make a concrete offer so I decided to stay a Hearts player for now.
"But I'm not going to negotiate a new contract. I'm leaving on June 30. I will wait for offers and I am open to different possibilities."
Hearts held tentative discussions over a new contract for Kello last year but didn’t make the player an offer, leaving him free to discuss terms with other sides over a summer move.
The 29-year-old could have negotiated an earlier exit from the club, having held talks over a January move to Austria Vienna.
Kello though says the move across Europe didn’t interest him but says his current employers were not happy with his decision.
"At the end of the transfer window, Austria Vienna showed interest in me," he said. "But it ended up not being a successful transfer as it was a last-minute proposal. I decided not to go for certain reasons.
"My contract ends in the summer and I will decide what to do then. I got into trouble with Hearts for not completing the move to Vienna."
