Gary Glen hopes his goal against Dunfermline at the weekend has put him in contention for a start against Celtic on Sunday.
The striker has struggled to cement his place in the side and has only made seven appearances for the Jambos this season.
His goal against relegation battlers Dunfermline was his first since netting against Dundee United last May but he is optimistic his display at East End Park will be enough to keep him in manager Paulo Sergio’s thoughts ahead of the Scottish Cup semi-final meeting with the Hoops.
He told Hearts' official website: "If the gaffer puts me in then great. I think I did my best against Dunfermline and if I play next week, that's what I'll try to do again.
“I've had wait a bit, but it's good to get on the score sheet. I should have buried the one in the first half, but thankfully I got the chance in the second half and I'm just delighted to have scored."
