Pat Fenlon will face the SFA’s disciplinary panel next month to face his charge of making an offensive gesture at the Scottish Cup final.

Hibernian had until Tuesday, May 29, to respond to the SFA’s notice of complaint.

The Easter Road side confirmed it had replied to the governing body and manager Fenlon’s fate will now be decided by a Judicial Panel Tribunal on June 14.

The alleged incident occurred in the dying moments of Hibs’ 5-1 capitulation to Hearts at Hampden.

As the opposing fans mocked the former Bohemians boss with chants of “there’s only one Pat Fenlon” the Irishman appeared to aim a stiff armed gesture towards the Hearts end.

Fenlon was cited as being in breach of rule 203, which prohibits a wide range of offensive language and behaviour.
