Hibernian manager Pat Fenlon has added to his squad by bringing in free agent Sean Murdoch on a short-term deal.

The 26-year-old has signed a contract until January 2013 and will be back-up for first choice stopper Ben Williams.

Murdoch’s arrival at Easter Road follows the decision to loan Calum Antell to Second Division side East Fife.

He has previously played for Dunfermline Athletic, Hamilton, Accrington Stanley and Forfar Athletic.

And having trained with the club for the past few weeks, Fenlon is delighted to get the keeper signed up.

He told the club’s official website: "We're pleased to be able to add Sean to the first team squad with immediate effect.

"He has been training with the group for the past few weeks and he has impressed us with both his ability and his attitude.

"He will come in and automatically provide us with experienced cover for Ben Williams."

On 20-year-old Antell’s loan move to East Fife, Fenlon added: "We felt that it would be beneficial for Calum to get a regular run of first team games with East Fife. His loan move will give him more experience and help his development."
