Hibernian are in talks with Honduran international Jorge Claros over a possible move, STV has learned.
Claros has recently been on trial at Rangers but left the Ibrox club without agreeing a transfer.
The midfielder’s club, Motagua, claimed that Rangers had made a bid well short of their valuation of the player. But, rather than returning home, Claros has travelled to Edinburgh to speak with Hibs.
Motagua have now tweeted that Claros is at Hibernian to negotiate a move, while STV understands discussions are now underway to try and tie up the player before tomorrow’s transfer deadline.
Claros, 26, has 29 caps for Honduras, scoring four times. He has spent the last six-and-a-half years with Motagua, having joined from Vida in 2005.
