Hibernian striker Roy O’Donovan hopes to enjoy his second spell in Scottish football after making a deadline day move to Easter Road.
The Irishman had a loan spell with Dundee United back in 2008 but failed to make an impact before returning to parent club Sunderland.
Since then the 26-year-old has featured for Blackpool, Southend, Hartlepool and Coventry City.
O’Donovan started his career at Cork City and knows all about the capital club’s manager Pat Fenlon .
And he says that after a few years in the wilderness, he’s looking forward to his time at Edinburgh.
He told the club’s official website: "I'm very positive about the move - it's a fantastic club and I'm glad to be here.
"I know Pat's history from playing against his teams back in Ireland. I'm very much looking forward to my time here and I hope it is successful.
"I'm very positive that good things are going to happen here between now and the end of the season.
"I think it's the right move. I've no doubts and think it's going to go well. I'm looking forward to it and I can't wait to get started.
"I just want to help a successful team and help us to improve as a team tenfold from where we are now.
"Hopefully I can score some goals and make my mark."
