Hibs striker Garry O’Connor is expected to recover from injury in time to face St Mirren at the weekend.
O’Connor who has fired 15 goals in the campaign, including the opener in Hibernian’s 2-1 Scottish Cup semi final triumph over Aberdeen, limped off in Sunday’s loss to Kilmarnock with an ankle injury.
The Scotland striker has been closely monitored and manager Pat Fenlon is hopeful he will be fit enough to travel to Paisley as Hibs look to boost their survival chances.
Speaking to the Hibernian FC official website, Fenlon said the knock should clear up.
The Easter Road boss said: "Garry didn't train today but he should be okay for the weekend.
“The injury is not of major concern at the moment. Garry did some pool work today and he should be okay to train if not tomorrow then on Friday."
On-loan Stoke City midfielder Tom Soares could also be poised to return after missing the Killie defeat with an achilles injury.
Soares also completed a work-out in the pool and Fenlon hopes to have the 6ft Englishman available to face the Buddies.
