Owain Tudur Jones has signed a new one-year contract with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
The Welsh midfielder joined Terry Butcher’s side last summer but missed six months of the season after sustaining knee ligament damage early into his spell.
Jones returned to action in February, making a total of 15 appearances in the 2011/12 campaign, and his manager believes he will make a bigger impact in his second season.
"Our fans didn't see the best of Owain last season because of injury but I'm confident that with the right preparation, he'll really show what he can do this time round," Butcher told Inverness’ official website.
"Owain's big, strong, comfortable on the ball and has great presence in the dressing room. He's a big help to the younger players so we're delighted he's staying."
The 27-year-old originally joined Inverness from Norwich City, where he played just eight times in two years having been loaned out to Yeovil Town and Brentford.
Capped seven times by Wales, Jones has also played for Swansea City, Bangor City and Porthmadog.
