Inverness Caledonian Thistle put on an impressive display to pile the misery on Dundee United with a 4-0 win at the Caledonian Stadium.
Terry Butcher’s side had five draws in the SPL so far this season but had failed to win a match.
A double from Richie Foran put the Highlanders on their way to victory and goals from Andrew Shinnie and Philip Roberts put some gloss on the scoreline.
Butcher was delighted with his side’s performance and said they had silence those who had been critical of their early form.
"It was a fantastic performance,” the Inverness manager said.
“We didn't start the game particularly well, but after the first goal went in we dominated the game and could have scored even more goals."
