Arsenal loanee Philip Roberts scores his first goal for Inverness CT

Philip Roberts scored his first senior goal as Inverness Caledonian Thistle thrashed Dundee United 4-0 to earn their first SPL win of the season.

The 18-year-old, on loan to the Highlanders from Arsenal, fired the ball in to the net to round off a great day for Terry Butcher’s men.

Richie Foran scored a double with Andrew Shinnie scoring the other goal in a comprehensive win.

This was Roberts’ first start for Inverness having come on as substitute in the 2-2 draw with Hibernian and the midweek cup match with Stenhousemuir.

Butcher expressed his hope that his side would get the credit he feels they deserve after beating Peter Houston's men.
