Aberdeen boss Craig Brown has admitted he will hold discussions with Inverness Caledonian Thsitle winger Jonny Hayes next week.

The former Scotland boss has long been an admirer of the forward and expressed his interest in the out-of-contract player last week.

With the Dons enduring a disappointing season, Brown has moved early to try and secure targets for next season.

Asked when he expects to meet Hayes, Brown said: "This week or next week. He won't sign for anyone certainly without coming and seeing us.

"He's given that undertaking and I'm sure he'll honour that."

However the Dons boss was tight lipped on moves for any other players.

He added: "There are other talks going on, with players but the players are with clubs at the moment and they're out of contract.

"We're talking to them and I always advise the manager (of the player's current club) out of courtesy."
