Kilmarnock boss Kenny Shiels says his team didn’t get what they deserved from their trip to Dunfermline Athletic on Tuesday night.

The Ayrshire club left East End Park with a 1-1 draw, having registered almost twice as many shots on goal as their opponents.

Failure to win means Shiels’ team missed out on the chance to move into the top six and the manager says his team must start taking their opportunities on their travels.

"We've drawn six away from home," he said. "We've been so dominant in all of those games and we've ended up getting draws.

"We're creative. Every away game we're getting chances, but we're not finishing them.

"We deserved to win the game, but you don't always get what you deserve in football."
