Livingston have announced midfielder Keaghan Jacobs has signed a new two-year contract with the club.

The 22-year-old has made 33 appearances for the club this season, scoring four goals.

A product of the club’s youth academy alongside siblings Devon, Kyle and Sheldon, he played more than 100 times for the club in the past three seasons.

With Jacobs joining Bobby Barr in pledging his future to John Hughes’ team, Livi chief executive Ged Nixon is positive about the future.

He told the club’s official website: “We believe that we have an excellent young side with great potential at Livingston and we want to keep as much of it together as possible with future seasons in mind.

“We see Keaghan as a key player in the squad and we’re absolutely delighted to reach agreement with him on a new contract.

“He’s capable of playing at a higher level and our hope is that he’ll achieve that with Livingston.”
