Montrose have doubts over central defenders Alan Campbell and Jonathan Smart ahead of their clash with Berwick.

Links Park manager Ray Farningham said: "I am hoping that at least one of the injury doubts can make it. Berwick, as so often happens when a new manager comes in, have had a lift since Ian Little took over and will want to keep that going.

"They will also want revenge for our win down there so we will need to battle for the points.

"We played well in our two games against Ayr United in the Scottish Cup and it would be great to take that form into a league match."

Berwick's interim player-boss Ian Little is unlikely to feature as he concentrates on his touchline duties and looks to extend his unbeaten start in the Shielfield hotseat to four games.

The Borderers will be without full-back Richard Walker, who is on holiday, along with the injured pair of defender Chris Townsley and striker Fraser McLaren.

Little said: "We played a game last weekend against Raith Rovers to keep everyone ticking over but you cannot beat the real stuff.

"Montrose like to pass the ball and so do we and hopefully the wintry winds will stay away and we can have a good game of football.

"No matter what happens weather wise it is what we in the game that matters."
