Motherwell manager Stuart McCall is confident that his side will be able to overcome Inverness at Fir Park on Saturday.
McCall’s side have won just three times at home all season in SPL action, but he is optimistic that his side can get back to winning ways this weekend.
Motherwell have struggled for goals at Fir Park, netting just seven times in league competition, and will be eager to improve on this statistic against a struggling Inverness side.
The Steelmen have won the last two encounters between the two teams and the Lanarkshire side will be hoping that they can record a third straight win against the Highlanders.
McCall was in a buoyant mood before the game, and said: “We've got start on the front foot. It's our home game so we have got to force the play and we feel we have the players to do that.
“We’ve had two disappointments from away league performances and we know we have to improve at home and any team that puts six past Kilmarnock are very capable but we will be ready for Inverness.”
The Steelmen have been performing well in the league this season and currently occupy third place in the table but have taken just one victory from their last five games.
McCall has revealed that he has almost a full compliment of players to choose from for this match, with just Stuart Carswell missing due to a chest infection.
Influencial idfielder Steve Jennings is rated doubtful but did train with the first team towards the end of the week and could be included in the squad.
McCall said: “I’ll make a decision on Steve tomorrow. He’s trained on Thursday and Friday with no reaction so I’ll decide tomorrow if I can risk him. It’s touch and go but hopefully he’ll be available.
Motherwell have already taken steps to strengthen their side during the transfer window, with Estonian striker Henrik Ojaama likely to be in the squad for Saturday after scoring on his debut against Queen’s Park.
Although McCall has admitted that his side will not be making any new signings unless it is to replace any outgoing players.
He added: “We have a good squad and the only time I'll think about bringing in somebody in is if we lose somebody and there’s no sign of that at the minute.”
