Second-placed Stranraer have brought in youngsters Michael Baxter, Scott Phillips and Blair Dougan from their Under-17 side to bolster squad numbers ahead of the visit of Peterhead.
The Blues have ruled out David McGregor, Martin Grehan and Steven Noble with injuries and Stephen Stirling is rated as only 50/50.
Although Grant Gallagher could return after nearly two months out with an ankle injury to ease manager Keith Knox's selection worries.
The Stair Park boss said: "We did not play well against Clyde last weekend and losing to them was a disappointing way to give up our chase of Alloa for the title.
"We now want to ensure we finish second and despite having a few injuries to contend with against a dangerous Peterhead side, I want the win."
Peterhead have promoted goalkeeper Neil Duffy to their first-team squad as Raymond Jellema is working offshore and Paul Jarvie is a major doubt with a hip problem.
David Ross continues to be missing with a knock, Graham Sharp is in Australia while Ryan Strachan is also an injury doubt.
Bryan Deasley could return after playing in a behind-closed-doors game against Aberdeen during the week as part of his recovery from injury.
Jim McInally said: "Stranraer may well be fighting for an advantageous position in the play-offs but we still have plenty to play for as well.
"I want us to finish in fifth place which means we have to win our remaining games."
