Queen of the South's new signing Derek Young will face older brother Darren in the home clash with Alloa.
The Doonhamers have added former Aberdeen player Derek Young to their ranks on a permanent basis and he will do battle with Darren, who will skipper the visitors.
Queen of the South have also added striker Derek Lyle and he is included for the visit of Paul Hartley's side.
Manager Allan Johnston said: "This will be a tough contest as Alloa will be one of the top sides in the Second Division this season.
"They are well known for passing the ball around and have a good mixture of experience and some of best players from the Second and Third Divisions."
Alloa will be without summer signing Darryl Meggett and could also be without three other players.
Former Queen's Park defender Meggett is suspended, while Graeme Holmes, Kevin Cawley and David Cox are all carrying injuries that could see them miss out.
Wasps' manager Paul Hartley said: "This is a really tough game and I would prefer to be going into it with a full-strength squad.
"Queen of the South may be in our division, but they are at home and have remained full time so we are certainly the underdogs.
"I will however be expecting my players to go out and show that they can compete in a game such as this."
