Charles Green remains hopeful of a late U-turn by Scottish Premier League chairmen which would see them vote in favour of his newco Rangers participating in the top flight.
SPL clubs will vote on Wednesday whether to transfer Rangers’ share in the league to Green’s new company, with an 8-4 majority required to sanction the move.
Seven teams have already publicly stated their opposition to the share transfer, with most citing fan pressure as their reason for insisting any newco should look to the Scottish Football League for a home to play football.
Green though claims he has continued talks with chairmen and hopes to convince them to have a last minute change of heart.
"I know the chairmen will listen," Green told Rangers’ official website. "The problem some of them have to a lesser degree than I have here is fan pressure.
"I said to a number of them over the weekend that if they're concerned about their fans, they should come to Ibrox for a week and sit in my chair.
"Fans are the lifeblood of all clubs and without them we have no product so we have to engage with them."
Several newspapers carried a last-ditch bargaining plea from Green on Tuesday morning.
It is stated the businessman is willing to offer a six-point plan to clubs in return for their vote, which would include an agreement to change the voting structure of the league and accept a points deduction.
It is also claimed Green is proposing for revenue to be split more evenly amongst top flight clubs, while accepting a registration embargo from the Scottish FA and also paying all outstanding football debts.
There has been no indication so far whether any club would be willing to accept the late offer, having previously stated their opposition.
Green added: "We think the important thing is Scottish football and we need to draw a line and move forward.
"There is now a clearer understanding of the implications of football without Rangers because, remember, this is not just about Rangers not being in the SPL.
"Lord Carloway may even just withdraw the licence to play at all if we go back to the tribunal.
"There are some big decisions and none are more material than Rangers being excluded from the league and the financial incomes this club drives for the benefit of all Scottish clubs."
