Steven Whittaker says he is looking forward to playing against the best players in the world after joining Norwich City.
The Scotland international turned down the transfer of his contract to a newco Rangers last month allowing him to join the Premier League side.
Whittaker, 28, has signed a four-year contract with Chris Hughton’s side after five years at Ibrox.
Now the player aims to put the past few months behind him and focus on life with his new team.
He said: “It’s obviously been hard at Rangers over the past six months. The club went into administration and it wasn’t easy but the players grouped together and we continued to give our best on the park and I think that showed towards the end of the season.
“All that has passed now and I’m looking forward to the new challenge that is coming my way.
“I’m looking forward to playing against the best players in the world in this league.”
