Scottish Football League clubs have voted a Rangers newco into Division Three for season 2012/13.
STV understands that Charles Green and Ally McCoist addressed SFL chairmen ahead of a vote on whether or not to allow a "newco Rangers" a place in the Scottish Football League.
As the chairmen gathered ahead of the meeting, several took the time to offer their opinions on the voting process, the administrators at the SFA and SPL, as well as calling for clarity and finality after today's vote.
Talks have taken place on Friday morning as representatives from all 30 member clubs make a decision on whether to allow Sevco Scotland Limited into the league setup, as well as voting on whether to allow the Ibrox side straight into the First Division, in exchange for compromise with the Scottish Premier League on league reconstruction.
Airdrie United and Dundee were not originally expected to vote in the ballot but were informed that they would need to take part in the process on Thursday evening.
Several teams across the three divisions have publicly stated their intention to object to plans to allow the newco to play in the country’s second tier.
A majority of clubs is needed to admit the club into the SFL league setup.
SFL clubs received a raft of proposals on Wednesday following talks between the Scottish FA, the SPL and David Longmuir.
Third Division team Clyde have expressed their concerns over the wording of the proposals as well as a lack of information over the newco.
