Francisco Sandaza has completed his move to Rangers, signing a three year deal.
Sandaza becomes Ally McCoist’s third capture of the summer, after netting free agents Dean Shiels and Ian Black.
He is be eligible to play in Tuesday night's League Cup tie with East Fife and has told McCoist he feels fit to play.
Speaking to the official Rangers FC website, Sandaza said: "I'm delighted to finally come here and to play for this great club. I'm happy that it's done now and I can't wait to start playing for this team.
"When I arrived four years ago I didn't speak any English but I knew I wanted to play for a big club like this, at Ibrox in front of a full stadium.
"I had some offers from the second division in Spain and from Cyprus and Greece but Ally called me a week ago and said to me about the project here.
"It's a long project and we start from zero but I'll go for it and I think we will come back soon and I will do my best to be a part of that."
The striker left St Johnstone at the end of last season after netting 17 times for the Saints.
Sandaza is believed to be earning a net £5000 a week at Ibrox.
