Rangers have completed the signing of Sebastien Faure after the French defender impressed on trial with the club.

Faure has put pen to paper on a three-year contract with the Ibrox club.

The 21-year-old, who was previously on trial at Leeds United, played in a closed-doors game for Rangers last week and showed manager Ally McCoist enough to earn a permanent contract.

Faure will not be registered in time to make his debut against Falkirk in the Ramsdens Cup on Tuesday night but is expected to be available to play against Berwick Rangers on Saturday.

A Lyon youth player, Faure failed to make the breakthrough to first team player at Stade de Gerland but has represented his country at every level up to Under-20.

Rangers have also confirmed that they have offered a trial to 25-year-old German goalkeeper Rouven Sattelmaier.
