Highland trip for Rangers as Forres Mechanics drawn in Scottish Cup

Rangers are one of 32 sides contesting the second round of the Scottish Cup.SNS Group

Highland League champions Forres Mechanics have been handed a tie with Rangers in the second round of the Scottish Cup.

The Can Cans qualified for the competition having won their first league title in 26 years last season and will host the Third Division side at Mosset Park.

All ten clubs in the bottom tier of the senior leagues enter at the second round stage, joining nine qualifiers from the first round and 13 other entrants who start their campaigns in this round.

Second round ties will be played on Saturday, September 29.
