Kenny Miller has said that Rangers could still win the league even if star striker Nikica Jelavic was to leave the club in January.
Jelavic was the subject of a £6.5 million bid from Leicester City in the summer and with the Croatian hitman continuing to find the net on a regular basis, interest from clubs could arise again in January.
Miller was top scorer in the SPL when he was sold to Bursaspor last January. He says that the fact that Rangers went on to win the league was proof that the club could do wituot any individual.
However, Miller said that the Ibrox club should do everything in their power to ensure that Jelavic does not end his stay in Glasgow.
"They should try all they can to hold on to him, especially with the form he's been in this season,” he said. “I'm sure they'll do their utmost but circumstances could dictate.
“The good thing for Rangers is that he looks happy right now. I know that when I was scoring goals for Rangers I was happy.
"But if he is sold, I'm sure Rangers will manage to find someone else to score the goals. A team like Rangers has to deal with transfer issues every season at the same time as winning titles.
"Even last season when I was sold I said that I believed Rangers would go on and win the league.”
