Jamie Vardy scored twice on Tuesday night with Rangers scout John Brown in attendance to watch the striker.
Brown travelled to take in Fleetwood’s away match at Barrow and was running the rule over Vardy and other players.
The forward scored a double in Fleetwood’s 4-1 win to continue an impressive record this season that has seen him attract the attention of a number of clubs.The former Halifax Town player also had a hand in Fleetwood's opening goal, scored by Peter Till.
Blackpool have already had an offer of £750,000 rejected this month with the player’s club thought to be holding out for a £1 million fee.
The 24-year-old has scored 20 goals in 22 appearances for the Conference National side this season, with Fleetwood currently sitting in the play-off positions for a shot at promotion to League Two.
