David Healy hopes to rediscover his scoring touch for Rangers this weekend, to ensure his side don’t slip any further behind in the Scottish Premier League title race.
Aberdeen took a point from Ibrox on Saturday in a 1-1 draw between the two teams, leaving last season’s champions four points adrift of leaders Celtic.
Healy, who has scored twice for Ally McCoist’s side this campaign, failed to get on the scoresheet against the Dons but hopes to right that wrong against Hibernian in the next round of games.
"Saturday was frustrating," Healy told Rangers` official website. "I think it was one of those games that if we had got the first goal we would have scored three or four.
"But after we missed a few half-chances that gave Aberdeen's confidence a boost.
"Of course I was disappointed not to score, I had a couple of opportunities and probably should have done better.
"But as a striker you always want to get into positions to score goals so hopefully I can be involved again against Hibs and I can get back on the score sheet."
With Hibernian visiting Ibrox on Saturday needing points to lift themselves away from the SPL relegation zone, Healy is wary of the strike power Rangers’ opponents will bring.
"They do have players that can cause problems," he said. “Ivan Sproule scored a hat-trick at Ibrox in the past and I know he's a Rangers fan and that he loves playing here.
"He's got pace to burn and they have got a new lad in Eoin Doyle so they have got decent players all over the pitch and we will need to be at our best to get the result we want."
