Lee Wallace could make a return from injury for Rangers against his former side Hearts this weekend.
The left-back was left out of his side’s win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle, having picked up a knock against Kilmarnock a week previous.
The absence of Wallace, Steven Whitatker and Sasa Papac saw Ross Perry and Kirk Broadfoot line up at full-back for Ally McCoist’s side in the Highlands.
With Papac and Whittaker again absent for the game with Hearts, Wallace looks set to add to Rangers’ limited defensive options.
"I think Lee could make Saturday," assistant boss Kenny McDowall told Rangers’ official website.
"He had a dead leg after the Kilmarnock game and we hoped he'd be able to come north with us.
"He just ran out of time though and it was better to leave him behind but we're optimistic he can return to the squad."
