West Bromwich Albion have made a second bid for Steven Naismith, STV understands.
The English Premier League side failed in an offer for the Rangers player towards the end of March, with administrators Duff and Phelps rejecting their undisclosed offer.
The forward is currently recovering from a serious knee injury, with manager Ally McCoist stating his hope the player could make a fleeting return before the end of the season.
"Stevie is doing really well and he was going for a scan today just to check up on his knee and make sure everything is ok," McCoist told Blues News.
"For his own peace of mind, if nothing else, it would be good if he could get 45 minutes somewhere and then he could go away and have a holiday knowing he is absolutely fine."
