Kyle Hutton is determined to live in the present as both his parent club Rangers and loan side Dunfermline battle for their futures.
The Pars are six points adrift at the foot of the SPL with four games remaining, beginning against Aberdeen at East End Park tomorrow.
Whether Dunfermline are relegated or overhaul Hibernian in the standings to avoid the drop to the First Division, Hutton is set to return to Rangers this summer where the future is uncertain.
Rangers were this week hit with punishments from the Scottish FA’s independent panel which Ally McCoist says threaten their very existence.
Asked what his personal future holds, Hutton, who has two years remaining on his Rangers contract, said: "I just need to wait and see. I've just tried to concentrate on my football and just play the way I can play.
"I'm here at Dunfermline so I'm just trying to keep them up first and foremost. Hopefully I can do that."
The 21-year-old moved to Dunfermline in January after spending an earlier period on loan at Partick Thistle.
He remains optimistic the Pars can retain their top-flight status and said he has enjoyed every minute of his time in Fife.
Hutton said: "It's all to play for. We'll take confidence from the weekend coming back from two goals down and we'll go into this weekend and see what happens.
"It's just been a case of keeping our heads down and focusing on what we need to do. We need to go out, treat every game as if it's the biggest game of our lives and hopefully we can pick up points and if we do that we can stay up.
"If Hibs drop points it's all the better for us. Kilmarnock did us a favour, so hopefully a few other teams can do us a few favours."
