St Johnstone have announced the signing of former Hearts striker Craig Beattie.
The forward, who had previously been on trial at Rangers but failed to win a deal, has signed a one year contract at McDiarmid Park.
The agreement is conditional on the player completing a medical and the formalities will not be complete in time for Beattie to be registered ahead of St Johnstone's SPL match against Motherwell on Saturday.
Beattie, who counts Celtic, West Bromwich Albion and Swansea among his former clubs was being pursued by a number of SPL teams.
He becomes manager Steve Lomas' seventh signing of the summer, following Tam Scobbie, Gary Miller, Gregory Tade, Nigel Hasselbaink, Jonny Tuffey , Patrick Cregg and Rowan Vine to the club.
