St Johnstone manager Steve Lomas expects captain Jody Morris to remain with the club after confirming the club haven’t received any approach for the midfielder.
Championship side Bristol City were linked with a move for the former Chelsea and Millwall player but Northern Irishman Lomas says there’s been no bid yet.
The 33-year-old joined the Perth side in 2008 and helped them win promotion to the SPL.
Morris is close friends with new City boss Derek McInnes leading to suggestions the player may fancy a return down south.
However Lomas refuted rumours he may lose the player.
"Until Bristol City make an offer that's acceptable, Jody won't be going anywhere," said Lomas in the Daily Record.
"There has been no bid.
"No club will let their club captain and midfield holding player go for nothing.
"I want Jody to stay at the club beyond the end of this season and haven't given up hope of that."
