St Johnstone manager Steve Lomas was angry with the way his team defended in their 2-0 defeat to Hearts at Tynecastle.
Goals from Rudi Skacel and Andy Webster saw the Jambos overtake Saints in the race for a European spot.
Skacel placed the ball home in the first half while Andy Webster netted from a Danny Grainger free-kick midway through the second period.
The Perth men have only scored one goal since March, but it’s his team’s defending that annoyed the Northern Irishman.
"Goals change games and the first one was disappointing, but the second one even more so," Lomas said.
"We were almost on (goalkeeper) Alan Mannus' toes by the time the goal got into the box and big Webster scrambled it in.
"The second goal was a killer because I still thought at 1-0 we would get a chance.
"Overall Hearts probably deserved it. It was really disappointing from our point of view."
He added: "I think it's going to be a big summer regardless of whether we're in Europe or not.
"We've got nine signed up so it's going to be a big, big summer.
"It's going to be a massive turnover of players if we don't get the ones signed that we want to sign."
