Leaders Celtic lost at home to Inverness Caledonian Thistle thanks to a goal from Billy McKay.

At the foot of the table, Dundee are four points adrift of St Mirren after the Buddies beat the Dark Blues 3-1 in Paisley.

Aberdeen are a point off Celtic having played one game more after a 1-0 triumph at Easter Road while St Johnstone beat ten-man Kilmarnock 2-1 at Rugby Park to sit two points off the summit.

Dundee United’s revival continued with three points against Ross County while Motherwell and Hearts were involved in a stalemate at Rugby Park.
