St Mirren manager Danny Lennon was disappointed to see his team beaten in their final home fixture of the SPL season.

Richie Foran’s late goal was enough to give Inverness Caledonian Thistle all three points.

It leaves the Paisley side two points behind Kilmarnock in the race for seventh place ahead of their final league fixture against Aberdeen.

"It's unfortunate to finish a season of progress at home like that, we played with no real tempo and created very few chances," said Lennon.

"We still have an opportunity to go to Aberdeen and ensure we finish in eighth place at the very minimum."

Lennon hailed Hugh Murray who will leave the club this summer after 16 seasons.

"He's been a fantastic servant for the club and he's given the supporters of Paisley some fantastic memories," he said.

"The fans have given Hugh some great memories too - they have been a great fit for each other."
