Partick Thistle squeezed past Third Division Queen’s Park in a thrilling nine-goal Ramsdens Cup second round tie at Hampden.

Jackie McNamara’s men found themselves 4-3 behind heading into the final minute of the match before two last-minute goals capped an incredible match at the national stadium.

Lawrence Shankland hit the opening goal for the Spiders but Partick hit back through Aaron Sinclair and Chris Sinclair.

Jamie Longworth equalised before Chris Erskine restored Thistle’s lead. Queen’s weren’t done and looked on the verge of putting the First Division side out when Anthony Quinn and Richard Little hit the net.

But Stuart Brannigan equalised before Erskine grabbed a second to snatch victory.

Greenock Morton did exit the competition after losing 2-1 to Queen of the South after extra-time.

Nick Clark scored his third goal of the campaign after Mark Durnan had cancelled out Michael Tidser’s 38th minute goal.

Cowdenbeath secured a comfortable 3-0 win at home to East Fife with Stenhousemuir beating Annan Athletic by the same score line.

Airdrie United lost 3-0 to East Stirlingshire at Ochilview while Grant Murray kept up his perfect record as Raith Rovers boss with a 5-2 win over Montrose.

Brian Graham scored two with Allan Walker, Pat Clarke and Greig Spence all chipping in at Stark’s Park.

A double from Darren Gribben helped Arbroath to a 3-2 win over Forfar with all the goals coming in an action-packed first half.
