Serbia stopper Neven Subotic believes Scotland cannot compete with his side’s technical quality.
The Borussia Dortmund defender said that the Scots will have strength and desire on their side but is confident the Serbs will overcome at Hampden if they can match their hosts’ application.
The 23-year-old, who is expected to line up alongside Chelsea star Branslav Ivanovic and Aleksandar Kolorov of Manchester City at the national stadium on Saturday, said Serbia are focused on not slipping up against lower-ranked teams like Scotland and Wales.
Subotic said: “We believe teams like Scotland, who play on heart and strength, suit us. Technical quality is on our side.
“You only have to compete with their most powerful weapon, and that’s power and desire.
“I think we can do that. We just need to play the best we can and from match to match progress in creating a team.”
