Scotland have risen five places in the lastest FIFA world rankings, following Gordon Strachan’s first match in charge of the national side.
The Scots beat Estonia 1-0 at Pittodrie last week to sit in 64th place.
Charlie Mulgrew scored the only goal of the friendly match against a side now ranked 82nd in the world.
Strachan’s side now sit in between the Cape Verde Islands and Belarus in the list.
Cape Verde rose seven places following their participation at the Africa Cup of Nations, reaching the quarter-finals before losing to Ghana.
Scotland’s next matches are World Cup 2014 qualifiers against Wales and Serbia in March.
