Scotland Under-21 boss Billy Stark hopes striking duo Jordan Rhodes and Johnny Russell can overcome knocks to feature in his team’s crucial UEFA Euro 2013 qualifier against Holland.

Top-scorer Rhodes, who scored in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Exeter City, missed training on Monday with a dead leg.

He has scored six goals in as many matches for Stark’s men and made his bow for the senior team in the 2-1 win over Cyprus in November.

Dundee United striker Russell has a similar problem but was able to take part in today’s session.

Stark said: "We've got a couple of, maybe concerns is too strong a word, a couple of dead legs in Jordan Rhodes and Johnny Russell.

"Johnny managed to train this morning and we'll see how he is before going out this afternoon.

"Jordan is not quite there in terms of being able to train yet but hopefully he'll be okay."
