Kilmarnock v Celtic: Killie will be aiming to the double on Celtic and end the Glasgow club's hopes of silverware.

Kilmarnock are aiming to repeat their heroics from the beginning of February when they welcome Celtic back to Rugby Park in the Scottish Cup quarter finals on Saturday. You can get Kilmarnock v Celtic live match updates here on STV Sport during the match.

Killie soured Robbie Keane's debut when the Hoops visited on league duty, with Chris Maguire scoring the only goal of the game as the home side came away with a 1-0 victory.

Maguire will not get a shot at grabbing the match winner in Saturday's lunchtime kick-off, with the on-loan Aberdeen striker cup-tied, having came on as a sub in the Dons' 2-0 win over Hearts in the fourth round.

Fellow forward Kevin Kyle is also absent from the Kilmarnock squad with a groin injury, leaving David Fernandez, Mark Burchill, Allan Russell and Danny Invincible to battle it out for a starting berth in attack.

Home manager Jimmy Calderwood welcomes back Craig Bryson and Simon Ford to his squad following their recovery from injury but captain Manuel Pascali is suspended, having incurred a ban for two yellow cards picked up in the previous two rounds.

Visitors Celtic can include Scott Brown in their squad, with the captain's Scottish Premier League ban not applying to cup competitions. Marc-Antoine Fortune, Jos Hooiveld and Glenn Loovens are all expected to be fit to feature.

Thomas Rogne, Diomansy Kamara, Paddy McCourt and Niall McGinn are also absent from Tony Mowbray's selection owing to injuries, as well as Shaun Maloney, who is expected to return to full training shortly.

Kilmarnock assistant manager, Jimmy Nicholl, has told his players that they need to apply the mindset that they could suffer a hiding from their talent-laden rivals, to have any chance of pulling off another shock victory.

"People will say we beat them last time but this is totally different," Nicholl said. "If you play the Old Firm you have to fear losing, fear getting humiliated and getting beat by five or six.

“That drives you on, you are pumped up and you are driven on. I have seen it when my teams have played against the Old Firm. That's why people ask the question, 'How come you did that against Rangers and Celtic and you don't do it against the team at the bottom?'

"If Celtic keep getting told that this is their last chance for silverware they will be more determined to do something about it. If their players have the fear of losing then that makes it really hard for us."

Celtic midfielder Marc Crosas is mindful that the Scottish Cup presents his team with their final shot at silverware this season and hopes his team do not underestimate the threat Kilmarnock pose.

“I think the most important thing is that we are going to play for the only title that is in our own hands right now,” Crosas said. “Everyone knows what our position is in the league so we have to do our best and make sure we get to Hampden.

“We know Kilmarnock will make it difficult for us, we know how they play at home, we lost there last month so we will be ready for it and, hopefully, we can go through.

“As a Celtic player, you are under pressure to win every game and you have to be ready for that. When you win a cup it is good but as a Celtic player you have to win the league.”
