Brechin City will vote in favour of proposals for the restructuring of Scottish football, which would also see newco Rangers playing in the First Division this season.
The Angus club held its AGM on Wednesday night and asked its members their view on the proposals, which include a bigger top flight, a change to financial distribution and the introduction of play-offs, among other measures.
STV understands the decision was taken for Brechin to vote yes to Resolution Two at Friday's meeting of Scottish Football League clubs, giving the SFL board the option to put Rangers into the First Division, instead of Division Three.
Brechin are the first club to declare they will vote in favour of the plans, which were received by chairmen on Wednesday. Stenhousemuir previously stated they would also say yes, subject to the proposals being to their liking.
