Niall McGinn says Craig Brown’s plans for Aberdeen convinced him to sign

Niall McGinn says he’s joined ‘a massive club’ after being unveiled as Aberdeen’s second summer signing.

The 24-year-old has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the club and claims Craig Brown’s vision for the future helped persuade him to join.

McGinn is well-known to SPL fans after spending several seasons with Celtic before departing Parkhead earlier this summer.

Played as a winger, he was sent to Brentford on loan last season making 37 appearances for the League One side scoring five goals.

Speaking to Aberdeen’s official website, he said: "Aberdeen is a massive club and I'm really looking forward to be back playing in Scotland.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Brentford last season and, playing week in week out has, I believe, made me a better player.

“Craig Brown has big plans for the club and I definitely want to be a part of that.”
