Aberdeen confirm Fraser Fyvie will hold talks with Wigan Athletic

Aberdeen teenager Fraser Fyvie is in talks over a move to Wigan Athletic the SPL club has confirmed.

The 19-year-old, who has been heavily linked with a move to the DW Stadium, will speak to representatives over a move on Monday.

Dons boss Craig Brown confirmed over the weekend he was resigned to the midfielder departing the club this summer.

Fulham had also been credited with interest in Fyvie who has scored three goals in 66 appearances for the Granite City side.

An Aberdeen statement said: “Aberdeen FC can this morning confirm Fraser Fyvie is currently south of the border holding discussions with Wigan Athletic.

“The 19-year-old midfielder became the youngest ever player to start for the Dons when he made his debut against Hamilton Accies in 2008.”

After the club’s 5-1 friendly win over Arbroath, Brown said: "There's been interest, I'm told, from Fulham and Wigan.

"He has got his agent on the case trying to get him sorted before the start of the season."
