Rangers have completed the signing of 31-year-old former Scotland international Kevin Kyle on a one-year deal.

The striker is the third signing of a triple swoop, which has also seen Francisco Sandaza and Brazilian defender Emilson Cribari added to the squad.

Kyle had been training with the Ibrox side in the hope of winning deal, after previously turning out on trial for Dunfermline and St Johnstone.

Speaking to the Rangers website, Kyle said: "This is Rangers, it doesn't get any bigger than this.

"It's a massive opportunity and there aren't many people who get a chance like this in Scotland.

"When it came to me I had to pinch myself. When I got in here for a week I told myself I was going to work so hard and prove that I can do a job here."

The striker has been out-of-contract since leaving Hearts in March 2012, where he scored seven goals in an injury-hit two seasons.

Kyle, who has 10 caps for Scotland, is hopeful of being included in the Rangers squad to face East Fife in the League Cup at Ibrox this evening.
