Hibernian v Kilmarnock: Hibs are looking for a first win in six in Saturday's early kick-off.

Hibs are looking to end a run of five league games without a win as they take on a resurgent Kilmarnock side in Saturday’s early kick-off at a now-three sided Easter Road. Don’t forget, you can keep up-to-date with the game live thanks to STV Sport’s live Saturday updates.

Paul Hanlon and David Wotherspoon are injury doubts for the Edinburgh club and Colin Nish will sit out his second match of a three-match ban.

Hanlon missed last weekend's 1-1 draw with St Johnstone and Scotland Under-21s 2-2 draw with Azerbaijan on Tuesday with a pelvic problem, while Wotherspoon has an ankle knock. Both could yet make the bench but are thought unlikely to feature.

Kevin Kyle should feature for Killie despite angering manager Jimmy Calderwood by travelling to Turkey on Thursday to play in a trial match for Russian club Spartak Nalchik, with a view to joining them.

John Hughes has lived to regret challenging his team to a third place finish as they have embarked on their unwanted winless run but Hughes says that he is still happy with the response his team have given him to the challenge.

"The reason I did that is because I feel that when standards are set at the club, you have to go and adapt and play to that standard,” said Hughes. “There's no hiding place. Knowing football and being in it and being in dressing rooms myself, you give football players an out and they'll take it.

"Me doing that, there's not an out there. Apart from one or two results, I've had a good response.

"It goes with a club the size of Hibs: we should be third, should be third, fourth, getting that European spot and getting to the latter stages of cup competitions."

Killie were seven matches without defeat until Motherwell, who are also on a lengthy unbeaten run, defeated Calderwood’s team 1-0 last weekend. Killie can get that streak back on track in Edinburgh however, insists their boss, despite the threat their winless-in-five opponents may pose.

"Their confidence won't be sky high but if they get a goal in the first minute then it's a different matter,” said Calderwood of Killie’s Saturday opponents.

"We were on a good run and we let it go last week, so hopefully we can bounce back."

Jamie Hamill, Allan Russell, Mark Burchill and Ryan O'Leary all return from injury for the visitors but Craig Bryson is out, joining Simon Ford on the sidelines.
