As clubs continue their search for new recruits during the transfer window, STV has asked a fan from each SPL club to give their own wishlist for the January sales.
Motherwell fan Kris Jack, who has his own Motherwell podcast, gives his opinion on what business Stuart McCall should do this month.
Which areas of the team does your side need to strengthen?
With our lofty position in the league, I don't know which areas require strengthening as such. Henrik Ojaama coming in gives us a new dynamic up front, but the way Stuart McCall has the team playing shows that we are quite strong.
If pushed, maybe another battling midfielder for when Keith Lasley and Steve Jennings are injured/more likely suspended, but even then Stuart Carswell looks to get in amongst it when fit.
Do you see your team doing any business in the transfer window?
I think if we do any business in the window, it will be to replace players who go. If a decent bid comes in for the likes of Chris Humphrey, Jamie Murphy or Darren Randolph, then we would seriously need to look at replacing them.
We seem to be well covered in most positions at the minute, so signing anyone just for the sake of signing them might not be the best route to go down.
I think a few fringe players like Ross Forbes and Jonathan Page may end up out on loan though.
Who would be a (semi-realistic!) fantasy signing for your team in January?
As I've said, any realistic signings would be to cover departures, so if Randolph went, I'd like to see us perhaps try and get Cammy Bell from Kilmarnock. Kenny Shiels seems to chop and change between Bell and Jaakola, and he could do worse than come to Fir Park.
Perhaps in a front man role, we could look to replace Murphy with Farid El Alagui from Falkirk. Maybe not a fantasy player, but certainly a realistic target!
Are there any players coming back from injury who "could be like new players" to the squad?
The only main injury concern we have had this year is Stevie Saunders, but I still think he's a couple of months away from coming back.
Even then, he might find he's further down the pecking order behind Tom Hateley and Tim Clancy. If Shaun Hutchinson can remain fit, then I see him being vital in the run in though.
Who does your team absolutely have to keep hold of during the January window?
Basically the whole midfield. Nicky Law, Lasley and Jennings have made us tick this season, and the team looks visibly worse off when even one of them doesn't feature, so keeping them will be key.
Of those likely to have interest, Randolph needs to stay between the sticks. When John Ruddy left, there were big gloves to fill, so anyone new coming in would have a lot of pressure to be as consistent as Randz.
Who should they be looking to move on?
I think Ross Forbes may be let go in some capacity. In bounce games and Under 21 games, he looks the part, and at Clyde in the League Cup, he bossed the game.
But McCall doesn't seem to fancy him, and I’d not be disappointed if he left. If he could show an ounce of the brilliance he had when Jim Gannon came in, I'd maybe feel differently, but the SPL seems to be above his level.
