Former Rangers midfielder Rhys McCabe has completed a move to Sheffield Wednesday.
The 20-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the Owls, subject to the club receiving clearance from FIFA to register him.
McCabe was one of nine players who left Ibrox in the summer under TUPE regulations when the old company’s assets were sold to Sevco Scotland Limited.
Their chief executive, Charles Green, has vowed to challenge those departures, meaning the Scottish FA has refused to sanction the transfer of registrations for a number of players.
Steven Davis, who moved to Southampton, and Kyle Lafferty, who joined Swiss side Sion, are amongst those who have received temporary dispensation to turn out for their new clubs, pending FIFA making a ruling on their contractual status.
Rangers could also be due to receive training compensation for McCabe, having been trained by the club since his 16th birthday.
