Annan will chase their first ever Galabank success over Berwick without Peter Watson and Kieran McGachie.
Central defender Watson is on honeymoon and young striker McGachie is away on holiday.
Striker Graeme Bell is a doubt with a groin injury and winger David Murray is struggling with a hamstring problem, leaving manager Harry Cairney with a selection problem.
Cairney said: "We have lost early goals in our last two games and we need to stop that. We have a young side this season and they're learning all the time so hopefully they can show they have mastered this.
"Our record against Berwick at Galabank is not very good and this would be the perfect game to finally get that win and get some positivity behind us again."
Berwick go in search of their first win of the season at Galabank with Ben Miller and Dean Hoskins back from suspension.
Steve Notman has served his suspension, but has picked up a knock and will miss out along with Stuart Noble, who is still not ready to start his season due to a hamstring strain.
Shielfield boss Ian Little said: "Annan have lost their last three games, but will be looking to hit back quickly.
"They have changed their players and their system this season and these things can take a while to bed in.
"They have good strikers, so we'll have to be prepared to work extremely hard to get our first win on the board."
