Paul Di Resta picks up points after fine finish at Monaco Grand Prix

Paul Di Resta capped a fine team performance by Force India as he finished seventh in the Monaco Grand Prix.

The Bathgate-born racer picked up six points to finish just ahead of team-mate Nico Hulkenberg.

Red Bull’s Mark Webber won the race ahead of Nico Rosberg and Fernando Alonso to become the sixth different winner in as many Grand Prix’s this season.

Di Resta started in fourteenth position but soon moved through the pack to get amongst the points scoring pack.

On the notoriously tight track and in dry conditions, Di Resta remained comfortable to move up to 11th in the overall standings.

Alonso now leads the championship standings by three points to Vettel and Webber, with Hamilton 13 points down in fourth, and Rosberg 17 points adrift in fifth.
