Phil Mickelson made his mark on moving day as Rory McIlroy had another day to forget in Augusta.
American Mickelson is on shot behind Sweden’s Peter Hanson who produced an incredible round of 65 to lead on nine under.
Mickelson is in contention after he birdied the 10 and 12th before a 25-foot eagle putt at the 13th.
South Africa’s Louis Oosthuizen is one back on seven under with Bubba Watson a further shot behind.
England's Lee Westwood (72) sits alongside Hunter Mahan, Henrik Stenson and Padraig Harrington on four under.
However despite starting the day one of the leaders, Rory McIlroy lost ground after a five over par round of 77.
Scotland’s Paul Lawrie remains in the top ten after another level par round.
