Argentina have named six changes for their Autumn Test clash with Scotland on Saturday. The Pumas, who are unbeaten at Murrayfield since 1990, have made four changes in the pack to the team that lost 33-16 to Wales last weekend.
Prop Rodrigo Roncero loses his place to Leicester’s Marcos Ayerza, whilst Alberto Vernet Basualdo replaces the experienced Mario Ledesma at hooker. Manuel Carizza is preferred to Mariano Sambuetti at lock and Alejandro Campos is in for Tomas Leonardi at flanker.
Also recalled to the team is London Irish scrum-half Alfredo Lalanne, who comes in for Agustin Figuerola. Federico Martin Aramburu meanwhile will make his first appearance of the Autumn Test series by replacing Mauro Comuzzi on the wing.
Martin Rodriguez – who has scored all 25 of Argentina’s points so far in the series – is named in the team and will be looking to make only his third appearance at international level.
The Pumas have lost both games of their British tour so far, losing firstly to England 16-9 and then to Wales. Their last game against Scotland came in Rosario in June 2008, with the home side winning 21-15.
Scotland sit in ninth place in the IRB World Rankings, just one place behind their weekend opponents. The two are also scheduled to meet at the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand, having both been drawn in Pool B.
